An UptimeRobot alternative, or when the cheaper tool stops being enough
UptimeRobot answers the question of whether your server responds. It does that well and cheaply, and its free plan is broader than ours. Uptimo answers a different question: can a customer get through the cart and pay. Below is what you need in order to choose, including the places where UptimeRobot wins.
The short answer
If you want to know that a site responds, and you have a few dozen addresses to watch, stay with UptimeRobot. It will be cheaper and faster. Switching only makes sense once something an HTTP check cannot see starts costing you: a cart that accepts a product but never reaches payment, a login broken after a change in the gateway, a form that returns 200 and sends nothing.

Where UptimeRobot is better
This is not politeness. If any of these matters more to you than a checkout scenario, do not change tools.
A far broader free plan
Fifty monitors for nothing. Our free plan watches three addresses. Across a portfolio of a few dozen simple sites, their free plan is enough where ours is not.
A lower entry price
Nine euro a month for ten monitors checked every minute is less than our first paid plan costs. For availability checking alone you would be overpaying with us.
A shorter interval as standard
Thirty seconds comes with their Team plan; with us it is a 129 zloty monthly add-on. Fifteen seconds comes with Scale, which we do not offer at all.
Public status pages
They have them from the free plan up, with a custom domain and branding higher up. We do not have them at all, so if you need to show status to clients at a public address, that is an argument against us.
Checks from many locations
They will see an outage visible only from one continent; we will not. Our checks run from a single location in the European Union.
What we do differently
Everything below follows from one decision: we measure the process, not the address. That is what you pay for and the only thing that justifies the price difference.
A scenario in a real browser
Uptimo opens the page, clicks, fills fields in and checks whether it reached the goal. Steps are built from a list or described in a sentence, without writing code and without a plugin on your server.
Evidence instead of a message
A failure leaves a recording of the run, a screenshot of every step and a HAR file. That is the difference between a ticket saying something is broken and a ticket a developer can close without guessing.
An SLA report without an Enterprise conversation
Availability to the second, downtime, incident count and mean time to repair, by e-mail weekly or monthly, separately for each service group. From the Team plan up.
Zloty, a Polish invoice and support in Polish
Pricing in zloty net, a VAT invoice, and the panel and support in Polish. When you book monitoring as a company cost, that can matter more than a feature.
Data in the European Union

When switching makes sense and when it does not
Stay with UptimeRobot if
- you watch many simple brochure sites and knowing they respond is enough,
- your monitoring budget is a few dozen zloty a month,
- you need a public status page on your own domain,
- checks from several continents matter to you.
Consider switching if
- you earn through a cart, a login or a form, and an outage there costs more than the subscription,
- monitoring has shown green while a customer could not buy,
- you have to show a client or a board an availability figure rather than a chart,
- you want evidence when something breaks, not just a notification.
What people ask when switching tools
Yes, and many people do. UptimeRobot watches dozens of addresses for very little, while Uptimo watches the one or two things you actually earn from. Our Start plan at PLN 149 net covers a single scenario, so that split is often cheaper than moving everything.
We load the list of addresses from a file during onboarding, on request, so nothing has to be typed in by hand. We do not migrate incident history from UptimeRobot: it is their data in their format, and we will not pretend to understand it to the second. Your history with us starts at the first check.
Because a real browser costs. An HTTP check is one request; walking a cart means a running browser clicking for tens of seconds, repeated every few minutes. That is why our plans differ by scenario count and interval, while HTTP, DNS and ping checks come with generous limits.
